When moving to the area our new home in Walton came with several layout problems which needed rectifying. At the centre of this challenge was an old cast iron spiral staircase and the knock-on effect removing it would then have on the remaining ground and first floor layouts.
To help me with this project I called upon Steve Cole of S.J.Cole and Co after many recommendations.
Steve and his team worked quickly and carefully as the stairs were removed and all but two of our internal walls were altered. Steve was always considerate to the fact that we were living in the house while the works were carried out and he always did his best to leave things as tidy as possible at the end of each day, something my wife and I appreciated.
Along with changing the stairs, altering the layout and making good, Steve also helped with over boarding old, damaged ceilings and with plastering the majority of the house. Steve also coordinated with the other trades throughout and made the process as easy as possible for us.
Steve clearly enjoys his job and this shines through in both the quality of the work and his positive attitude each day on the project.

I asked Steve to quote for an extension to my house for a purpose built annexe for my elderly mother. Steve gave me detailed practical advice and ideas for the extension.

This is slightly belated, but I wanted to write and say a big thank you for the work that Tony did on my two flat roofs back at the end of July. One of them had been leaking and I was worried about the lower one as much of the work around my property hasn’t been well finished. Tony immediately told me the leaking roof had been replaced fairly recently so he would just need to do a minor repair and that the lower roof was indeed quite old and it would be best to replace it completely. I really appreciated his honesty and was pleased to learn the quote hadn’t changed.
